Colorful, Unique and Fun
This page contains significant projects which I enjoyed working on them. They helped me to expand my knowledge and skills. I used many tools to create visuals, code, and compose music. Sharing all the details is not ideal. That is why I described general features shortly and displayed a few screenshots.
Adventures of YOYO
It is a freelance mobile game project developed using Apple SpriteKit in 2014. It is developed only for iPhone and iPod Touch devices.
I defined the target group for a wide range of ages starting from 6. It means characters, story and gameplay needs to be appropriate for the target group. I wanted to give a positive message using this game. It was that we live in a beautiful planed and should protect it.
I created a background story around the main character named YOYO. It is an alien who sees the earth by coincidence. It decides to check it out because it looks like a beautiful planet. However, some other aliens has been following YOYO. They decide to invade it but YOYO can't let that happen. Because, YOYO has advance weapons to use against invaders. The main point is YOYO wishes to save the earth because it knows the space so much to realize how valuable the earth is.
I designed all aliens to look funny and cute. Each one has a unique character and animation. I created background stories for each invader alien, because YOYO does not kill them. They are transported to the main ship when they shot. YOYO becomes friends with all of them at the end. All aliens enjoy the earth by visiting iconic places without seen by the humans.
The first continent YOYO visits is America. That is why YOYO wears a cowboy hat and the game is titled as "Wild West Adventures". Players sees conceptual changes as visual cues when YOYO travels to different countries.
Game contains achievements, power ups and a unique scoring mechanism to push motivation. Players can enjoy multiple stages continuously without any interruptions. There are big bosses at the end of some maps.
Mouse Smarty
It is a 3D mobile game project released in the iOS App store in 2013 for iPhone and iPad. It is a puzzle game developed in Unreal Development Kit. I completed coding, 3D modeling, making a game menu, and composing music only in three months. Then I wrote extensive documentation of all development stages.
I made the game design by targeting children as the target group. The game requires advanced skills by seeing the maze from the top view and remembering it while collecting items. The difficulty progression is not aggressive because mazes are getting complicated very slowly.

The main challenge of the development was using Unreal Development Kit to produce a 3D mobile game for iOS. The performance of Apple devices was very limited in 2013 for 3D gaming. I also used Adobe Flash to create a game menu. I used Gimp to create game visuals and 3D textures. I composed music in GarageBand.
This was a very complicated project in which I had to use several applications that run on specific hardware. I used a Windows PC and a Mac to create each game item. Please check the documentation for the specifics.
Oyundayiz.biz
It is a professional gaming platform project for which I was the front-end developer. I developed a web client that can also function as a desktop application. Installing the desktop application provides performance benefits but the web client provides mobility.
The platform allows users to create game rooms, chat using public or private channels, play four types of games and send in-game items. Users create profiles and set many details such as avatar pictures, gender, profile description and details about social preferences.
Users play online games in real time. The games do not allow money exchange or gambling. However, there are advanced membership models that users may need to pay monthly subscription fees. There are also admin profiles that are advanced users to help manage.
I designed game room graphics in Photoshop. I also developed all animations and user experience using Adobe Flash. I created a realistic environment but left some abstract items to remind users they are in a game. Users can chat using instant messaging, send in-game items and play online radio.
3ds Max 3D Models
Most of my 3D models are freelance projects aiming to improve my skills in creating detailed designs. I have been using these skills in my professional career since 2007.
I started 3D modeling using real-life objects and later moved to complex designs such as sports cars and airplanes. I built confidence over time to design cars and create models to test the proportions.
I created 3D objects to use in games and simulations. Having a small number of polygons without losing details is the greatest challenge. Creating realistic materials and textures is another dimension.
Even though I modeled many items for games successfully, creating photo-realistic renders hasn't been possible because of hardware limitations.
Logo Design
I have been designing logos professionally since 2008. I have never planned to create logos as a full-time job. I do it whenever an opportunity arises. I am successful at it because I have skills in creating concrete visuals from abstract concepts.
I have been designing logos for brands, products and services. Each one is unique delivering its message. I prepare many variations and iterations before finalizing a concept. Then I test it for different printing and displaying environments.
Color, proportions, and fonts are extremely important because logos need to be printed or displayed everywhere without a problem. A logos should not loose its meaning when resized. It should support alternative colors for changing backgrounds.
In some cases, I have created realistic illustrations. They are better than using photos because they allow easier color management. Adding or removing details is easier to get better visual results.
